About Me

I take a lot of pride in being a true photojournalist. For six years I was a photographer at a medium sized newspaper. I covered just about anything you've ever seen in your local paper. I approach every wedding just as I would a typical newspaper assignment; to tell the story through my photographs. I want you to look at your wedding photos and laugh, cry, and laugh again, at the fun and beautiful moments I've captured.

Fun and laid back. I'm often told by brides and their bridesmaids that, of all the weddings they've been apart of, I'm the best photographer that they have worked with... Not just because of my images but because I'm easy to work with and have a great sense of humor.

Contact me if you are looking for a photographer for your wedding or for your family portrait. Check my availability calendar to see my schedule. Thanks!

Borin and Nicole: April 2nd and 3rd, 2010

Borin and Nicole's wedding was a two day event. The first day celebrated Borin's Cambodian heritage with traditional Cambodian ceremonies, which in Cambodia would take place on different days. One ceremony included a blessing from three monks which was really fun for me to witness and photograph. One of the coolest parts of being a photographer is all the different cultures I get to be a part of.

The second day was the traditional American ceremony at Annie Wright School in north Tacoma. I grew up in Tacoma but have never been inside. It is such a beautiful historic building. After the ceremony we all headed over to Pioneer Park Pavilion in Puyallup for the reception. If you need a big space for your wedding, the pavilion is a great place. My favorite part of the evening is when a "dance off" started. I love photographing action! Thanks to Borin and Nicole for a fun event!

Jimmy and Paula: Engagement

I met Jimmy and Paula at the Rainbow Run putt putt course for their engagement session which is where they had their first date Jimmy claims he got a hole in one on their date but Paula says mulligans don't count on a putt putt course! Jimmy and Paula were so much fun to chat with and I can't wait for their wedding in March.

This is the hole that Jimmy claims he got a hole in one on!

Brian and Kelsey: Engagement Session

My buddy Brian is getting married to his gorgeous fiancée next May in Alaska, where they both grew up. We did this engagement session at Bellingham's Boulevard Park... one of my favorite places to go when the weather is nice. Brian is such a funny guy... he's always laughing about something so it was pretty easy to get him to smile! Check out the cute old couple that was walking on Taylor Dock as we were taking some photos... I'm also loving the Tom Brady and Randy Moss jerseys!
